Women’s Basketball Championship : Champions To be Known This Weekend

The most crucial and exciting moment of the 2024 Women’s Basketball Championship holds this weekend in the nation’s economic capital, Douala. It is the return leg of the Final Four phase which runs from April 19-21, 2024. At the end of this phase, the highest ranked team on the standings shall be crowned champions. 
FAP Basketball of Yaounde gets into this leg with an upper hand after emerging honorary champions of the away leg with all three matches won. Daniel Battiston Basketball follows suit on the standings with five points while defending champions, Overdose Up Station comes third. University of Douala is bottom-placed. 
Despite FAP’s advantage, the battle is still very open especially with the fact that the score difference separating most of the teams can easily be covered. FAP’s boiling form was thwarted in the Cup of Cameroon when they were eliminated in the semifinals by University of Douala. However, with all hopes lost to what concerns the Cup of Cameroon title, the FAP girls might be highly motivated to at least pick the championship title.
