African Sambo Championships : Cameroon Shrapen Skills

Some 63 athletes are fine-tuning peparations in three cities in the country ahead of the competition that will take place in Egypt from June 1 to 3, 2024.

The national Sambo team will take part in the 18th African Sambo championship that will take place in Cairo, Egypt from June 1 to 3, 2024. Ahead of the competition, preparations have intensified in the country. Preparations have begun with an external training camp in three cities in the country. The training camp that is expected to run from April 19 to 28, 2024 brings together 63 athletes from across the country. 
The athletes are training in Dschang, Douala and Yaounde under the supervision of the President of the Cameroon Sambo Federation, Major François Mbassi and other members of the administration. There are 11 athletes training in Douala, four in Dschang and 49 in Yaounde. The athletes will be evaluated in Yaounde next month for an internal training camp to begin few weeks to the continental event. In Yaounde, the athletes are fine-tuning their skills at the dojo of Panther’s Club in the Bastos neigbourhood.
