National Assembly: Appointed Officials Commissioned

They were installed into their respective functions by the House Clerk, André Noël Essian on June 9, 2026.

Some newly appointed senior officials of the National Assembly, more than 20 of them, have been commissioned. The ceremony was chaired by the House Clerk, André Noël Essian, on June 9, 2026 shortly after the opening plenary for the second ordinary session for the current legislative year. These appointed by a Bureau Order or by the House Speaker included senior staff at the Speaker's, the Services of Questors and the Secretariat. While commissioning them, the House Clerk noted that the appointments are part of the new vision championed by the hierarchy, anchored on the core principles of rigor, ethics, competence, and efficiency. Congratulating them on behalf of the House Speaker, Mr Essian called on the newly appointed officials to demonstrate a firm commitment to strengthening the administrative and institutional performance of the National Assembly. The Secretary General insisted that it is imperative of the promoted officials to show proof of their knowledge, competence and confidence bestowed on them. "You have to be the architect of your performance. Your credibility, objectivity, loyalty and sense of confidentiality has to be shown in the exercise of your duties," he said. Noting that the functions they have been appointed to are very important, André Noël Essian said it is thus a call for additional work, and more responsivity.
