International Finance Corporation: Recommits To Sustainable Development

S enior leaders from the World Bank Group met with Came­ roon’s Minister of Economy, Planning, and Regional Development (MINEPAT) on Friday, September 11, 2026. The visiting delegation was led by Olivier Buyoya, the Interna­ tional Finance Corporation (IFC) Di­ vision Director for Central Africa and Nigeria of the World Bank Group. Ac­ cording to the head of delegation, the main goal of the visit was for the international financial leaders to sit down with the Minister, listen to his economic priorities, and discuss how to support the country's plans. Speaking after the meeting, Buyoya shared with journalists that the IFC is ready to back local businesses and help grow the private sector.
