2022 World Cup : Preparation Time Is Now!

After obtaining a ticket for the prestigious event, much work is still left to be done to enable the Lions rewrite history.

The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have qualified for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. They picked their qualification ticket after beating the Desert Foxes of Algeria 2-1 in the return leg qualifier that took place at the Mustapha Tchaker Stadium in Blida on Tuesday March 29, 2022. Karl Toko Ekambi scored the winning goal for Cameroon a few seconds before the end of additional time of extra time. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting opened scores in the 24th minute.
Even though the Lions went to Blida with a defeat from the first leg, they had learnt their lessons. They had to go the extra mile in order to seal the victory. Karl Toko Ekambi and Eric Maxim Chopo-Moting brought joy to Cameroon but goalkeeper André Onana was one of the most crucial players in the second leg game against Algeria. Cameroon is among the five countries that will represent Africa in the World Cup in Qatar. The other African representatives are Morocco, Tunisia, Ghana and Senegal.
The Indomitable Lions will be participating at the World Cup for the eighth time. After obtaining a ticket for the prestigious event, much work is still left to be done to enable the Lions rewrite history.
