FECAFOOT : Time For Accountability

From all indications, the Executive Committee is bent on investigating anyone or group of persons who have robbed the federation of its funds in the past.

The Executive Committee and General Assembly of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) that took place in Douala on August 27, 2022 has brought to the limelight certain aspects that might have been ignored over the past years. In all 17 resolutions were taken at the end of the meeting. Among the resolutions taken was that calling on former leaders of the institution to give account of their management during their mandates.
According to the resolution, the president of FECAFOOT was given a mandate by his peers on the Executive Committee to take action to recover certain assets and funds of the body. The President of FECAFOOT Samuel Eto’o has been mandated to contact former president Tombi à Roko Sidiki to retrieve documents signed during his mandate relating to the construction of stadiums and other sports infrastructure. The general assembly empowers the president to investigate anyone or group of persons who have robbed the federation of its funds in the past. In other words FECAFOOT will have the task to go after debtors, embezzlers and other individuals who have fraudulently acquired property of the Cameroon Football Federation.
