Funeral of Queen Elizabeth II : Prime Minister in London

Joseph Dion Ngute joins other dignitaries across the world today September 19, 2022 to bid farewell to the British Monarch.

Prime Minster, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute is representing the President of the Republic at the State funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II scheduled for today September 19, 2022 in Westminster Abbey at 12:00 noon (Cameroon time). The designation of the Prime Minister is in response to an invitation from the British government for the funeral of the late Head of the Commonwealth who died on September 8, 2022 at the Balmoral Castel, United Kingdom at the age of 96.
A press release from the Civil Cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic notes that the Prime Minister is accompanied by the Minister Delegate to the Minister of External Relations in charge of Cooperation with the Commonwealth, Felix Mbayu. Joseph Dion Ngute is thus one of the 2,000 special guests invited to pay their last respects to the Queen. Already in the United Kingdom as they (Prime Minister and Minister Felix Mbayu) left Yaounde on September 16, 2022, the Prime Minister joined other dignitaries to sign the golden condolence book known as “Book of Condolence” prior to the State funeral in honour of the British monarch.
