No case of death has been recorded, but an infected person is currently receiving treatment.
An outbreak of Monkey Pox has been declared in the Kumba and Mbonge Health Districts by Dr. Eko Eko Flibert, South West Regional Delegate for Public Health. This follows samples tested at Central Pasteur, Yaounde on October 7, 2022. Following this development, the South West Regional Delegation of Public Health is working to put the situation under control.
