Cholera, Covid-19, Monkey Pox : Population Urged To Be Disciplined, Responsible

The Minister of Public Health, made the call yesterday October 26, 2022 during a press conference in which he presented the epidemiological situation of the pandemics.

Cameroonians have been urged to be disciplined, remain united and continue to scrupulously observe the barrier measures put in place by the government and the World Health Organisation (W.H.O) to curb Covid-19, Cholera, Monkey Pox, Measles, Yellow Fever and Polioyelitis in the country. The call was made by the Minister of Public Health, Manaouda Malachie, yesterday October 26, 2022 in Yaounde, during a press conference to disseminate the results of the sero-prevalance survey of the pandemics in the country.
Speaking at the Public Health Emergency Operations Coordination Centre, the Minister of Public Health underscored that without discipline and responsible behaviour from the population, the government cannot overcome these epidemics. “Each Cameroonian needs to take personal measures against these pandemics, be conscious enough to isolate when sick, and to report to the required health centre for proper medical care. This is to protect others and to curb the spread of any of the pandemics,” Manaouda Malachie reiterated. The Minister used the press conference to announce the holding of the 4th forum of the management of public health emergencies to be hosted by the country from 31 October to 11 November 2022.
