2023 African Nations Championship : Jerome Ngom, Souaibou Marou Among 30 Shortlisted Players

The team is expected to begin camping today December 12, 2022 at the CAF Excellence Centre in Mbankomo.


Head Coach Saidou Alioum has released a list of 30 shortlisted players to prepare ahead of the 2023 African Nations Championship (CHAN) billed for Algeria from January 13 to February 4, 2023. The list made public on December 10, 2022 stars, Jerome Ngom and Marou Souaibou; the duo of home-based players who are fresh from the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. The full squad includes four goalkeepers, nine defenders, ten midfielders and seven forwards. The defence compartment has been blessed with several players among which Che Malone of Coton Sport whose prowess in the backyard has gained wide-spread admiration. Worth mentioning is the fact that the 30-man provisional squad is dominated by players of defending champions, Coton Sport of Garoua.
