After Historic US-Africa Summit : Presidential Couple Back Home

Paul and Chantal Biya were given a warm welcome at the Yaounde Nsimalen International Airport Friday December 30, 2022 by the close collaborators of the Head of State.

President Paul Biya and wife Chantal Biya are back in the country after actively participating in the Second United States-Africa Leader’s Summit which held in the American capital city, Washington DC, from December 13- 15, 2022. The Presidential couple jetted back home on Friday December 30, 2022 and were warmly welcomed on arrival by the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Joseph Dion Ngute and the Minister of State, Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh
The Washington conclave was a historic one for President Paul Biya who took to the rostrum on several occasions to make Cameroon and Africa’s voice heard on certain issues of global concern. For example, during a two-hour round table conference jointly organised by the Milken Institute and Invest Africa-US on the theme: “How finance can be a force for good in addressing Africa’s most pressing challenges and opportunities,” President Paul Biya underlined that there is a need to work towards establishing a veritable African capital market capable of providing suitable tools for Africa's development.
