Decision Making Process: Women Urged To Lead

A seminar on the role of young women in decision-making process in Cameroon took place recently in Yaounde.

The contribution of young women to the achievement of vision 2035 recently came under the spotlight during a two-day seminar that ended in Yaounde on July 27, 2017. The seminar was organized by Plan International Cameroon in collaboration with the Cameroon National Youth Council (CNYC) and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Civic Education. Participants drawn from the ten Regions of Cameroon converged to examine related teething issues on how to assist young women to become more involved in the management of the public structures and to be highly represented in the decision-making process in Cameroon.

Speaking during the ceremony, the Minister of Youth Affairs and Civic Education, Mounouna Foutsou, said   emergence cannot happen by itself except young people are well trained and master the future needs of their country.
