MTN Elite One: Coton Sport Takes The Lead

Following the recent achievements of the Garoua team the National First Division Championship has taken another turn.

Tables have turned at the helm of the National First Division Championship. With ten playing days to go in the competition, the vice champions of Cameroon, Coton Sport of Garoua are now at the helm of the official classification table. Coton Sport and Eding Sport are now leading the national championship with 43 points each. Coton Sport however is on top as both teams are separated by one goal difference. Coton Sport now occupies the top position following four consecutive victories recorded in delayed matches.  Coton Sport beat Colombe of Dja 2-1 in a delayed day 20 encounter in Garoua on Tuesday August 1, 2017. Coton Sport’s goals were scored by Georges Bélamo 28th minute and Daouda Kamilou 52nd minute. In other delayed encounters, Coton Sport beat Dragon Yaounde 2-0, Lion Blessé 2-0 and drew with Feutcheu FC 2-2.
