Cricket: Domestic Champions League Launched

The best four teams of the competition will qualify for the semi-finals of the Cup of Cameroon which will take place on August 25, 2017.

The 2017 edition of the joint domestic cricket league and the Cup of Cameroon tournament was launched in Yaounde on Saturday August 5, 2017. Organised by the Cameroon Cricket Federation, the competition brings together eight teams from across the country.
Speaking at the launch the President of the Cameroon Cricket Federation, Victor Agbor Nso said this year the level of the competition will be higher than in the previous editions thanks to the supply of equipment from partners. Victor Agbor Nso said the focus is to develop local championship and to make sure that there is a strong cricket national team and another one for the youth.
The teams have been divided in to two pools. Pool A teams are Academy Cricket Club of Douala, Trailblazers Cricket club of Yaounde, Kop Pioneers Cricket Club of Yaounde and Warriors Cricket Club of Yaounde.
