Can you throw some light on the tournament that is underway in Yaounde?
It is 14th International Semences Olympiques tournament. It is the 50th rendezvous since 17 years. We had some small delay during the Easter holidays so the competition is coupled with the 51st semester rendezvous that we have never missed since 17 years. It is a trail for football training centres in Cameroon and Central Africa. Today we want to consolidate on quality. Quality means that only those who have medical certificates by the medical committee, that is supervised by the Yaounde Emergency Centre. That will enable us rely on children who are physically strong and take necessary measures. We want to put in place a modern competition for the youths. As a follow up to youth football there is need for youth competitions where we can identify quality.
What are the objectives of the tournament?
It is a test for youth football training centres. When we play alone we feel that we know, play but when competing with others we are able to see if we have evolved or we are still on the same spot. The main objective here is the mixing among youths. This is the last time that the competition will take place in August. Next time it will be in July because we will get recruiters who will detect players at 15 years and 12 years to make it a successful feast.
