Financial Supervision: MINFI Agents Urged To Be Meticulous

The officials posted to public institutions and state corporations have been challenged to ensure better performance of such structures.

Controllers dispatched by the Ministry of Finance (MINFI) to public institutions and state corporations have been called upon to ensure that such establishments perform well finance wise. The Director General of Budget in the Ministry of Finance, Cyrill Edou Alo’o put the call in a much lowly and understandable form: “Ensure proper representation, counselling, control as well as documentation.” Edou was speaking at the MINFI Hall  in Yaounde, Thursday August 10, 2017, during the first meeting of a newly created platform in charge of the follow-up of the performance of public institutions and state corporations in the country. The meeting had grouped together State finance controllers.
Considering that the Head of State on July 12, 2017, signed two separate decrees relating to the status of public institutions and state corporations, the MINFI Director of Budget said the platform will in the near future acquaint members with new legal and technical aspects in the field.
