Secondary Education : Minister Holds Crucial Meetings

CStakeholders of the Secondary Education Sector in the North West region spent August 29th, 2017 finalizing strategies for the effective resumption of schools on September 4, 2017. The subject was prominent at an enlarged stakeholder session with the visiting Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe. The Minister was in Bamenda since August 28, 2017 to encourage local efforts pushing for a hitch-free resumption of schools in the backdrop of threats and arson perpetrated by proponents of schools boycott.
Minister Jean Ernest Massena Ngalle Bibehe spent day one of his outing, sizing up the level of mobilization in audiences with some influential administrative, political and religious authorities of the region. Day two of his working session featured more audiences with Catholic, Baptist, Presbyterian Church leaders, representatives of School Council Presidents, PTA Presidents, Proprietors of Lay Private institutions, education trade Union leaders, traditional and opinion leaders.
An enlarged meeting with virtually all who matter for the advancement of education in the region yesterday encouraged stakeholders to turn full circle for schools to resume with a comprehensive guarantee that the government has stated preparedness to rise to expectation with security arrangements for people and property in the curial times like this.
