72nd UN Ordinary General Assembly: Cameroon’s D-Day Today

The country’s voice will be heard loud and clear here this Friday through President Paul Biya’s much awaited speech to the international community

Cameroonians from within and without the country are focusing attention on New York today January 22, 2017 when the country’s voice will be heard at a high level and from the first citizen at the ongoing 72nd UN Ordinary General Assembly. In fact, the country has a rendez-vous with history as Cameroon-made solutions to global problems are being awaited by the international community.
When President Paul Biya takes to the stage this morning in New York (it will be afternoon in Yaounde), the over 100 other Heads of State and Governments alongside other senior officials from the member countries of the United Nations attending the session will be all ears to grasp the way forward from a country that has not been exempted from global defies.

Hemmed in unhealthy global economic environment and security challenges like any other country of the world, President Paul Biya will no doubt enlighten his peers and the world at large on what Cameroon has been doing to remain flexible amidst the hurdles that have almost brought many countries and economies on their knees.
Just like in precious speeches at this level, today’s Presidential outing will greatly contribute to the dynamism and promotion of the country&rsquo...
