CEMAC: Another Opportunity To Foster Integration

Chad is to host an extraordinary Summit of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC).

Cameroon and Chad will continue to show glaring examples in spearheading integration in the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) and the Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS). President Idriss Deby of Chad, through a special envoy, Asseid Gamar Sileck on October 25, 2017 invited his Cameroonian counterpart, Paul Biya to a CEMAC extraordinary Summit to hold in Chad in the days ahead.

The summit in N’Djamena, Chad will come after the December 23, 2016 extraordinary Summit in Yaounde, Cameroon. 21 resolutions were taken to salvage the gloomy economic situation of the CEMAC zone. The situation was made worse by the drastic drop in the prices of raw materials in the world market, especially oil.
