Cameroon- Vatican: Apostolic Nuncio Honoured

Piero Pioppo was awarded the medal of Grand Officer of National Order of Valour by External Relations Minister Lejeune Mbella Mbella on October 26, 2017.

The Apostolic Nuncio to Cameroon, Piero Pioppo, has been honoured with a medal of Grand Officer of National Order of Valour by the Minister of External Relations in a State Dinner offered on behalf of the Head of State on October 26, 2017. Piero Pioppo who has represented the Holy See in Cameroon for the past seven years was also Dean of Diplomatic Corps in the country for the last 30 months.

In a toast by Minister Mbella Mbella, he said the Religious diplomat had over the seven years spent in Cameroon represented the Holy See with honour, dynamism, devotion and determination and has displayed a constant and unwavering commitment to the consolidation of the friendship between Cameroon and the Vatican while maintaining cohesion within the Diplomatic Corps in his capacity as Dean.
