Taekwondo Open: Bouloumegue, Medom Winners

Over 80 athletes from across the country took part in the taekwondo tournament that took place in Yaounde last weekend. 

 

The second edition of the taekwondo competition called Cameroon Challenge Open Grand Master Christian Eloundou took place at the auditorium of the Collège François Xavier Vogt last weekend on the theme, “Hommage to Grand Master Eloundou  and Celebration of the recognition letter to Me André Tsafack by the World taekwondo Academy (KUKKIWON)”.
Organised by the Sejong Daewang Cameroon Taekwondo and Sports Promotion and Development Foundation (CaTaeSProDeF), the competition brought together over 80 athletes from 14 clubs from the Centre, Littoral and the West Regions of the country.
It was an opportunity for the public to watch young Cameroonians display rich talents in the sport. The athletes competed in cadets, junior and senior categories in different disciplines in taekwondo notably the fights, Poomsae Freestyle, shibeom Dan, hosinsul, tchandja Poomsae and the Kyokpa which are techniques of breaking using the feet, the wrists and other parts of the body.
