Judo: Officials Drilled On Best Practices

A ten-day seminar ended in Yaounde on November 2, 2017.

Ensuring the best athletes for the Olympic Games is a major priority of the National Olympic and Sports Committee. As a result, there is an urgent need to train more coaches in the country. It is in this light that a ten-day seminar for judo coaches ended in Yaounde on November 2, 2017.

Organised by the National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSC) in collaboration with the International Judo Federation, the competition brought together 50 coaches from across the country.

Speaking at the closing, the Vice President of the National Olympic and Sports Committee, Victor Agbor Nso called on the participants to put into practice what they have learnt as they go to the field so as to benefit from such workshops in future.

The objective of the workshop is to strengthen the capacities of judo coaches who will go out and detect athletes. And at the end of the Olympic season, Cameroon will have more athletes who are qualified for the Olympic Games in ...
