Peace Awareness: New National Campaign Launched

The objective is to imbibe the notion amongst young people in order to ensure Cameroon’s emergence by 2035.
Cameroon is generally acknowledged as a peaceful and relatively stable nation where various religious, ethnic and tribal groups live in tolerance. Not taking this for granted, the National Civic Service Agency for Participation in Development has launched a nation-wide peace awareness campaign amongst young people. According to Esua John Enow, Deputy General Manager of the agency, the goal is to ensure that tomorrow’s generations continue to promote and maintain the peace that the country currently enjoys.
Esua John Enow spoke on Friday, September 23, 2016, at the Essos, Yaounde headquarters of the National Civic Service Agency for Participation in Development during. It was during a panel discussion on, “Youth and peace promotion for an emergent Cameroon by 2035.” The activity, which ended the celebration of this year’s Peace Day, was attended by about 100 trained volunteers and conscripts from Yaounde.
