Chantal Biya Unites With Other First Ladies

She is accompanying her husband, President Paul Biya, for the 5th African Union-European Union Summit in Côte d’lvoire.

In a pink attire, Cameroon’s First Lady, Chantal Biya appeared joyful at the Félix-Houphouet-Boigny International Airport, South East of Abidjan yesterday November 28, 2017 as she accompanied her husband, President Paul Biya for the 5th African Union-European Union Summit in the economic capital city of Côte d’lvoire, Abidjan.

In a gorgeous outfit she gracefully walked next to her husband. Upon arrival at the airport, a beaming Chantal Biya affectionately embraced her host, the President of Côte d’lvoire and wife, Dominique Quattarra, who were on hand to welcome them.

Worthy to know is the fact that First Lady, Chantal Biya, who is also UNESCO’s Goodwill Ambassador for Education and Social Inclusion and UNAIDS Special Ambassador is not just accompanying her husband for the current summit but will use the occasion as another opportunity in her role in ensuring that people, particularly youths, no matter where they live, are sure of a sustainable future.

Cameroon First Lady’s presence in Abidjan will certainly be a veritable platform for her to meet and have meaningful discussions with other First Ladies on the plight of women, especially those in Africa.

Throughout her stay in Abidjan, Chantal Biya will obviously draw from her wealth of experience in humanitarian engagements which will certainly enrich her discussions with other First Ladies not only on issues affecting women but also on the focus of the summit which is “Investing in Youths for a Sustainable Future.”
