Star Building: Equatorial Guinea’s Envoy Hands Message

Prime Minister Philemon Yang received the message to forward to President Paul Biya.

Prime Minister, Head of Government Philemon Yang on November 30, 2017 had a busy day. After chairing the cabinet meeting for the month of November, he received in audience the special envoy of the President of Equatorial Guinea, Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

The special envoy, Miguel Engonga Obiang Eyang who is that country’s Minister of Finance and Budget, handed a sealed message of his president to Prime Minister Philemon Yang to forward to President Paul Biya.

He told journalists that Equatorial Guinea is out to further strengthen economic and financial cooperation with Cameroon. The envoy said the state of relations between Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea were good, especially now as countries of the Central African Economic and Monetary Community (CEMAC) zone are enjoying the free movement of people and goods. With the new dawn, he prayed that cooperation in trade and technological exchanges will be strengthened.

In the afternoon, Prime Minister Philemon Yang received a delegation of Société Général Bank Group. The delegation was made up of members of the various country boards of the bank in Sub Sahara Africa who are meeting in Yaounde from November 30-December 1, 2017.
