Dangerous Escalation of Radicalism!

Republican values have been sold to the dogs as some remote-controlled secessionist apologists increasingly succumb to the progaganda which at best promises heaven on earth.

If the hostile socio-political situation in the North West and South West Regions has degenerated from bad to near worse one year after Common Law Lawyers and English-speaking teachers lost control of strikes they began, accusing fingers can be pointed among others on fanaticism. In what appears to be a dramatic twist of events, many youngsters in and out of the embittered regions, have attempted showing signs of dumping republican values.

Regrettably, thoughts and acts that portray the desire for togetherness are increasingly becoming scarce. Destruction of public and private property as well as victimisation of those who in one way or the other refuse to see in the same direction as the secessionists have been perpetrated at length. To say the least, there has been a dangerous escalation in radicalism.

The constitutional freedom of citizens to rightfully speak out on any aspect of national life, including through duly declared peaceful strike action has been exaggerated. Transgressing this constitutional right to indulge in acts that lead to loss of life, destruction of public and private property, talk less of desecrating the most sacred symbols of the nation, as has been the case,  is disturbing. Many have even gone as far as declaring a state within a State.
That youngsters could go as far as attacking and killing security officers; no matter what, muster the courage to take fellow citizens hostage by imposing a jungle-like life or worse still, beat up their own traditional authorities in the name of a struggle is what some parts of the country have been left with. Lawlessness is sadly on the rise!

Either out of ignorance or unbridled quest for power, some of the people are being used to a point of axing the very tree trunks on whose branches they sit. If not, how could people be so gullible to a point of boasting that they can sacrifice the education of their children for what is invisible?
