Senate: Ministers Defend Budgets

They took turns to explain the visions for 2018 before the Budget and Finance Committee of the Senate.

A  series of Ministers on December 11, 2017 defended their projected budgets before the Finance and Budget Committee of the Senate. Amongst the Ministers were the Minister of Scientific Research and Innovation who defended an estimated amount of FCFA 10 billion, 300 million, the Minister of Survey,  State Property and Land Tenure, who presented a draft budget of FCFA 18 billion 550 million 500 thousand and the Minister of Mines, Industry and Technological Development with FCFA 10,409 billion. 

The Minister of Posts and Telecommunications who defended FCFA 46 billion, 545 million said the bulk of the money will see to the equipping of post offices, improving network capacity, enhancing digital economy and fighting cyber criminality.

Public Health Minister on his part with a draft budget of FCFA 177,6 billion will be used for the construction of referral hospitals and equipping existing ones, continuous fight against HIV/AIDS and the distribution of free mosquito nets to children below five years and pregnant women.
