Star Building: Urban Development, Economic Cooperation Discussed

 Prime Minister Philemon Yang yesterday had talks with officials of the International Conference on Canadian, Chinese-African Sustainable Urbanisation and Czech Republic economic mission.

Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang   and members of the visiting economic mission from the Czech Republic led by the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jancarek Ivan during talks at the Star Building on December12, 2017 reviewed bilateral relations and areas of economic cooperation.

The leader of the Czech Republic delegation, Jancarek Ivan told the press after a working session with the Prime Minister that they discussed bilateral relations between  the two countries. He said that they had a fruitful meeting and disclosed that  his country’s delegation members who will be in Cameroon  from December 9 to 14, 2017 are very much interested in the agricultural sector.

The Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Cameroon with residence in Abuja, Nigeria, Mikes Pavel corroborating the minister said,   economic cooperation  between Cameroon and his country will be complementary. This is because as he claimed, the Czech Republic is the most  developed country in Europe and has the equipment Cameroon would need for its industries being created.

He said that the economic operators chose Cameroon in the Central African Sub-region because of its diversity and resilience faced with the drop in oil prices in the market. The Ambassador said partnership between the two countries would also attract tourists from the Czech Republic to Cameroon.
