Cameroon-Korea: Growing Bilateral Relations

Mutual cooperation between both countries were applauded at a State Dinner offered to the outgoing Korean Ambassador to Cameroon on Wednesday December 13.

Bilateral relations between Cameroon and the Republic of Korea have been appreciated by the Minister Delegate at the Ministry of External Relations in charge of Relations with the Commonwealth, Joseph Dion Ngute.

He made the remark at a toast during a State dinner offered on behalf of the Head of State to the outgoing Korean Ambassador to Cameroon, Lim Jae-Hoon on December 13, 2017 who has come to the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.

He stated that both countries have enjoyed excellent and friendly ties since 1961 when diplomatic relations were established.

“Relations have essentially been based on mutual respect, understanding and cooperation for our common welfare. Your stay in Cameroon has been brief but very intensive. 

We appreciate your efforts in the organization of the Yaounde 4th and 5th forums on energy 2015 and 2016, the construction of the Yaounde Emergency Centre, opening of professional centres in Sangmelima, Douala, and Limbe, and most recently the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of a referral hospital in Garoua,” he stated.
