Chantal Biya At CHRACERH For Christmas

First lady Chantal Biya, illuminated a Christmas tree at the Ngousso neighbourhood, Saturday to gerace motherhood.

“Thanks to your efforts and commitment, today we have become mothers to our own children.” It was with such gratitude that some 50 mothers at the Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgery and Human Reproductive Teaching Hospital Paul and Chantal Biya (CHRACERH) in Yaounde welcomed the First Lady of Cameroon last Saturday, December 23, 2017, as she visited the hospital for the 2017 traditional Christmas tree lighting ceremony.

It was a pleasant moment for women who were once called barren by the society, to have been privileged to spend time with the woman (Chantal Biya) whose motherly affection and care led to the establishment of CHRACERH, the hospital which has enabled them to become mothers today.

The women welcomed the First Lady who had come to see them with special Christmas gifts. At the gynaecological admittance block of the hospital which hosts babies from medically assisted procreation between the ages of 0-5 months, the parents of one of the latest babies in the hospital, Angela Nora Grace, could not hide their joy as the First Lady entered their hospital room with a bouquet of fresh flowers.

Her parents could not hide their profound gratitude to the woman who has made their parenthood dream to become true. The baby’s mom immediately handed her to the First Lady.

Although the baby was sleeping, her mom kept touching her saying “you have a special guest, open your eyes”. The baby’s father, who is a French national told the First Lady “Thanks to your efforts, we have Angela Nora Grace, Merci beaucoup (Thank you very much).” Other mothers took time to converse with the First Lady and had a selfie moment using their personal mobile phones.
