Nigeria Calls 30 Players To Camp

This is to prepare for the upcoming women AFCON to take place in Cameroon.

 

Head Coach Florence Omagbemi has invited to 30 players to the camp of the Senior Women National Team, Super Falcons, as preparations begin for the 10th Women Africa Cup of Nations Cameroon 2016.The list is made up of eight overseas-based professionals and 22 home-based players. Reigning Africa Woman Player of the Year Asisat Oshoala leads the overseas –based contingent while Osinachi Ohale leads the home-based.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr has advised players of the Senior Women National Team, Super Falcons to "have fun but be serious" ahead of their defense of the Women Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon next month. Without mincing words, Rohr declared on Tuesday that the Super Falcons can become the champions of Africa for the eighth time in Cameroon, where the 10th Women Africa Cup of Nations will take place 19th November – 13th December.

The Franco-German, who was at the Falcons training on Wednesday afternoon impressed it on the Falcons to live together like one big family for them to be able to successfully defend the African title, which they won for the seventh time in Namibia in October 2014.
