The Minister of Energy and Water Resources in an audience with Egyptian Ambassador and the Project Manager on February 28 promised to ensure speedy.
A project for the electrification of some 48 communities in the North and Far North Regions is back on track after being in a chokehold due to financial difficulties, the Project Manager has said.
Ameer Abou Mansour was part of a delegation the Egyptian Ambassador to Cameroon led to the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources. He spoke to Cameroon Tribune after the meeting they held with Minister Basile Atangana Kouna.
He said his company Elsewedy Electric T&D was awarded the contract to work in collaboration with the Electricity Development Corporation (EDC). Elsewedy, according to the contract, was supposed to design, supply, install, and commission medium and low voltage overhead transmission lines for 48 communities in the aforementioned regions.
