Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism: Digital Platform Put In Place

The site, www.ncpbm.cm, has the objective of consolidating peace by getting connected to the global communication network.
The Commission for the Promotion of Bilingualism and Multiculturalism (NCPBM) has an official website. It was launched in Yaounde on March 07, 2018 by the President of the Commission, Peter Mafany Musonge.
Charged with the responsibilities of promoting bilingualism, multiculturalism and living together, the content of the site will be bilingual, contain information that respect ethical norms and updated constantly to keep the national and international community informed on the mandate and activities of the institution.
Launching the website, Mr Musonge said at the moment, the website has pages for law, history, events, culture and other interesting subjects. “Since the Commission went operational, there has been a great need to expand its communication outreach in order to inform, sensitise and educate the wider public and stakeholders of its mandates and activities.
Thus, the Commission opted to create its own website to foster and strengthen its communication strategy in view of the global scope and power that is inherent in the information super highway. The site will be bilingual and every piece of information in it will respect the canons of conciseness, accuracy, objectivity and will be decent in style and content,” he stated.
