The manual conceived by the Ministry of Public Service was officially handed over to the Ministry in a ceremony last Thursday at the Yaounde Sports Complex.
In order to ease public access to services offered by the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, an administrative manual has been conceived by the Technical Secretariat of the Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reforms. The manual which also comprises a user’s guide was officially handed over to the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education in a ceremony last Thursday at the Yaounde sports Complex.
Speaking during the ceremony, the Minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, Michel Angouing, said the guide was a win-win partnership between users and the personnel of Minsep. He said the guide will enable Minsep to be more efficient and work in transparency as the public is now informed on where to request a service, the duration of the service as well as whether the service is paid for or not. The Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Bidoung Mkpatt, said the manual is an instrument of good governance as it enhances transparency and performance, thanks to the information made available to the public.
He said the manual will enable his ministry contribute to the advent of a progressive administration as recommended by the President of the Republic in his message to the nation on December 31, 20156 when he said “the administration is an indispensable instrument at the service of the State and general interest … It is good that our administration should never cease being a force of progress.”. The manual on administrative procedures comes to add to the user’s guide which had earlier been conceived for the sports ministry.
