South-West: ELECAM Expresses Readiness

This was during a press briefing in Kumba organized by ELECAM Board Members.

Officials of Elections Cameroon (ELECAM) in the South West Region have expressed their state of preparedness ahead of the March 25 Senatorial election. They also reassured Councillors who would be traveling to vote on March 25 of their security across the Region.

The ELECAM Board members made the reaffirmation in Kumba at the Divisional Branch Head Office on Friday March 16, 2018, during a stopover of their five-day tour in the Region to assess the readiness of their various ELECAM Divisional branch offices. They equally used the occasion to school stakeholders on pertinent issues in the electoral code pertaining to the forthcoming elections. 

According to Tambe Tiku Christopher, ELECAM Board Member, “We are in a five-day meeting to assess the level of preparedness and to also meet the administrators to discuss security concerns which are integral to the election process in which we are involved.”
