Korean Peninsula: DPRK, South Korean Delegates Discuss Summit
Officials from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, DPRK (North Korea) and those of South Korea met on April 5, 2018 to discuss the logistics of a landmark summit on April 27, 2018 between leaders of the two nations. Thursday’s working-level meeting was aimed at ironing out protocol, security and media coverage details of the summit, South Korea’s presidential office said. The forthcoming meeting will see Kim Jong Un become the first DPRK leader to set foot in South Korea since the end of the Korean War. The summit is billed to hold in the Peace House in the border truce village of Panmunjom.
