The Ministry of Sports and Physical Education now has a data processing guide. A ceremony to officially present the first ever data processing guide of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education took place at the conference room of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education in Yaounde on Wednesday May 9, 2018.
Speaking at the occasion, the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Bidoung Mkpatt, said the guide takes in to consideration all the efforts of Information and Communication Technologies of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education for five years notably as from 2019.
He said with the preparation of the 2019 Total AFCON in Cameroon marked by the construction of major sports infrastructures, the technical expertise of all is necessary. He therefore called on his collaborators to give their contribution to support the different projects found in the new data processing guide.
The data processing guide of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education has 136 pages and comprises 19 projects. The projects will be scrutinsed by the Ministry of the Economy Planning and Regional Development (MINEPAT) for funding.
The Chief of the Data Processing Unit of Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, Wangue Nadege said MINEPAT asked every administration to produce that document to help improve on the data processing of the different structures.
The guide, according to her, will act as a tool to help the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education to better manage all projects in the domains of capacity building, infrastructural development and especially a successful organisation of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations. The goal is to rationalise and formalise the contribution of ICTs as a tool in the management of the different projects in the ministry.
