MTN Elite One: Can YOSA Stop Coton Sport?

Matches counting for the 24th playing day will take place in stadiums across the country this weekend.

This weekend promises to be an exciting one as the MTN Elite One championship enters the 24th playing day. A total of nine matches have been programmed for this weekend. It will be a stiff competition as each team will be out to secure a comfortable seat on the league table given that the championship is gradually going to a close.

According to the official programme from the Professional Football League of Cameroon, (LPFC), current league leaders Coton Sport of Garoua will travel to Bamenda where they will play against third placed Yong Sports Academy at the Bambili Stadium near Bamenda on June 9, 2018. From every indication, Coton Sport FC will not leave anything to chance as their goal is to consolidate their leading position.

Coton Sport has the best attack with 48 points have 19 victories without any defeats this season.  The Garoua team is 12 points ahead of the YOSA and eight points ahead of second placed UMS Loum.  That alone is enough to scare any adversaries. YOSA on their part have the best defence this season with 36 points and will be out for a victory in order to move one step ahead.

The other matches will be played on Sunday June 10, 2018. Unisport  Bafang will welcome Feutcheu FC At the Bafang Municipal Stadium. Fovu of Baham will play against Aigle Royal of Menuoa at the CENAJES Stadium in Dschang.
