North Korea: Kim Jong-un Accepts Invitation To Visit US
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un on June 12, 2018 accepted United States President Donald Trump’s invitation to visit Washington, North Korea’s Korean Central News Agency reported. The report came on the heels of the two leaders’ historic summit in Singapore on eliminating Pyongyang’s nuclear weapons earlier the same day.
Trump told reporters after the summit that he invited Kim to visit the US. The two leaders signed a two-page document committing Kim to denuclearization, while Trump agreed to provide security guarantees for North Korea.
