Four Men Accused Of Colluding With Foreign Enemy

Noyombi Ahmet, Abdou Razak, Bouba Abdou and Mahamat Kassoum, are charged with involvement in Boko Haram terrorist activities.

 

Ruling is scheduled for November 8, 2016, in the Yaounde Military Tribunal in the trial of four Cameroonians - Noyombi Ahmet, alias Lasna Dieudonné, Abdou Razak, alias Ousmanou, Bouba Abdou, alias Aladji Bouba and Mahamat Kassoum. They face a four-count charge of lack of National Identity Card, non-denunciation of terrorist acts, terrorism and collusion with a foreign military enemy. The offences are punishable under Articles 74 (2), 96, 2 (2) of the Penal Code; Article 2 of Law No. 2014/028 of 23/12/2014 at Article 5 of Law No. 90/042 of 19/12/1990.  

The matter came up for hearing on October 24, 2016, with Col. Abega Mbezoa as judge. She was assisted by Lt. Col. Mboa Guy Archange and Major Ndem Victor, while Counsel for the State were Major Nzie Pierrot Narcisse and Captain Nkoa Akouna. Earlier in another sitting, the suspects were found guilty of the charges. In her final submission, Captain Akouna asked the court to sentence Mahamat Kassoum to six months imprisonment, ...
