Public Service: Over 700 Places Available

Two special competitive examinations to recruit contract teachers into the public service have been made public.

The Ministry of Public Service and Administrative Reform (MINFOPRA) has announced two special competitive examinations to recruit teachers into the public service. These are a special competitive examination to recruit 500 Grade One Teachers of the first grade of the ‘B’ category of the Public Service and 250 Technical Grade One Teachers of the first grade of the ‘B’ category of the Public Service.

Since the announcement made on October 26, 2016, youths have been flooding the Ministry in quest of details. According to an order signed by the minister of Public Service and Administrative Reforms, the competitive examination for the Grade One Teachers shall take place on December 4, 2016 in Yaounde, the lone examination centre while the Technical Grade One teachers’ competitive examination will hold on December 11, 2016.

The release further states that the Grade One examination is open for Contract Grade One Teachers, holders of the Teacher’s Grade One Certificate (CAPIEMP), who are at most 50 years of age as of 1^st of January 2016 and have served for at least five years as of the date of the examination.
