Give Lions Chance To Roar

The team has to look for a qualification for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The race towards the 2018 FIFA World Cup is on course with Cameroon amongst contenders to feature in the world’s biggest soccer event. It is against this backdrop that the Indomitable Lions Head coach, Hugo Broos has summoned the National team to camp ahead of their qualifying group B match against the Chipolopo National team of Zambia in Limbe on November 12, 2016. The stakes are indeed high with the Indomitable Lions expected to rise to expectation and shine their way towards Russia in 2018.

It is all about a team that must not falter after giving the nation reason to hope with their impressive 1-1 tie against Africa’s current best and Cameroon’s group member, Algeria.  It was during their maiden outing for the qualifiers in far away, Algeria. The impressive, day one performance against mighty Algeria was an inspiration for doubting Thomas’s to revise notes following the not-too-good show of the Lions in recent times. That is why many look forward for the Indomitable Lions to dominate Zambia and move forward and exercise a domineering attitude during the qualifiers.

From the look of things, the Lions can turn full circle against Zambia and the other group member, Nigeria. Truly, the impossible is not Cameroonian. But this time around, it requires a comprehensive insurance that quality, training and support works in solidarity for the Lions. Head coach, Hugo Broos has so far given fans of the Lions reason to hope. His fine mix of experienced and young generation of talents is an indication of determination and desire to produce lasting results. It is on record that the Head coach has been courageous enough to recruit local talents and it is certain that the National team is no more the preserve of the foreign legion.

It is not just about qualifying for Russia 2018, but also about building a team for the future. In one lump sum, the squad called to camp has the challenge to be forward moving. In addition, the Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Gabon next year can best be prepared by the Lions by ensuring team cohesion as they now prepare for the FIFA World Cup in Russia

Away from that, the massive supporters of the Lions must give the technical squad the chance to work. The team requires a less noisy environment to emerge. Above all, the Administration of the National team must act in a way that should not cause rumour, distractions and speed brakes around the team. Cameroonians want to see their Lions roar to Russia 2018.
