Algeria Set For Turnaround

In spite of their 0-1 defeat against the Black Queens of Ghana in the opening match, the Algerians are determined to turn the tables around for their good.

The Fennecs of Algeria are working towards their first victory in the competition when they meet the Indomitable Lionesses later today. In spite of their 0-1 defeat against the Black Queens of Ghana in the opening match at the Accra Sports Stadium the Algerians are determined to turn the tables around for their good. Since their defeat on Saturday the team has been training hard in order to attain their objectives. The Fennecs of Algeria is presently residing at the AH Hotel in East Legon. The team trains twice daily at the Pressec Stadium in the city of Accra.

During the pre-match conference yesterday at the Accra Sports Stadium, the coach of the Fennecs of Algeria, Fertoul Radia said the first match against Ghana was difficult for the two teams and that even Ghana did not have an easy win due to the resistance of the Algerians. She said for the second match the preparations are going on smoothly. She said the major difficulty for the team is that three players have injuries but they will try to handle the game. She said the second match against Cameroon will not be an easy one giving that Cameroon is a big team and that Cameroon has a strong attack. She said it is true her team is in difficulty but they will work hard to limit the damages and be concentrated throughout the encounter. She explained that the focus now is on the second match and that most of the players are playing the Women Africa Cup of Nations for the first time.
