This is in a bid to satisfy tourists who visit the country and meeting up with international standards as the country prepares to host the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.

As Cameroon finalises preparations ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations to which she is host, the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure is concluding ongoing projects within the context of making tourist sites acceptable according to international standards. The Minister of State, Minister of Tourism and Leisure, Bello Bouba Maïgari, on November 22, 2018 defended a draft budget of FCFA 9 billion 94 million before members of the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly, which he said will be used in promoting domestic tourism and Cameroon’s destination online.
