MINPROFF: FCFA 6.470 Billion Proposed

The Minister of Women’s Empowerment and the Family, Marie Therese Abena Ondoa Obama, November 24 presented the 2019 draft budget of her ministry before the Finance and Budget Committee of the National Assembly. She said the Ministry would continue the implementation of the same programmes as last year, with more resources tilted towards the empowerment and protection of women and children in crisis-hit regions of the North West, South West, East and Far North regions. The three programmes include, Women’s Empowerment and Gender Promotion; Family Development and Protection of Children’s Rights; and Institutional Support and Governance. The proposed budget of the Ministry is six billion four hundred and seventy million (6,470, 000, 000) FCFA.
