Yaounde Garrison: Military Eulogises Col. Onana Ename Jean Pierre

The high command on November 4, 2016, paid homage to the officer who passed on last month.

Understandably, it was a somber mood at the Yaounde Garrison Headquarters in Ngoa-Ekelle on Friday, November 4, 2016, as colleagues paid respects to the body of Col. Onana Ename Jean Pierre, the late Military Inspector. The senior officer passed away on October 29, 2016, in the National Social Insurance Hospital, Yaounde, after suffering a stroke. The ceremony was presided by Vice Admiral N’gouah N’gally Guillaume, Inspector General of the Army.

The crowd could not help but shed tears as mournful military music rang out in the background to accompany the casket of Col. Onana Ename into and out of the courtyard of the Yaounde Garrison. The body was borne by seven Army, Gendarmerie, Naval and Air force Colonels. In his eulogy, Col. Tima Jérome, Military Inspector, described Col. Onana Ename Jean Pierre as “as example wherever he served, hardworking, efficient, available and disciplined.”
