Obituary: Colonel Armand-Christian Minyono Laid To Rest

He was buried over the weekend in his native village in Ayos after military officials and well wishers paid him their last respects at the Headquarters Brigade in Yaounde. ?

The remains of Colonel ArmandChristian Minyono Mathieu were last Saturday laid to rest in his home village of Ayos on Saturday December 15, 2018. This was after the military led by the Commander of the Headquarters Brigade in Yaounde, Brigadier-General Nka Valère, representing the Minister Delegate at the Presidency in charge of Defence, rendered their last respects to the fallen Colonel who served the Fatherland with all loyalty. Late Colonel Armand-Christian Minyono Mathieu was born on March 26, 1961 in Ayos of the Centre Region and served in the military for a total of 33 years, nine months and a day before passing on. Upon completion at the Government Bilingual Secondary School in Bertoua, he briefly studied at the then University of Yaounde before gaining admission into the Combined Arms Services Military Academy in 1985. As a young officer back then, he manifested devotedness when called to preserve the territorial integrity of the country which led to his promotion on several occasions, enabling him become a Colonel before death.
