Sports For All: SportsWeek For Peace Rounds Off

The second edition ends tomorrow December 22, 2018 with a football exhibition match and a press conference in Yaounde

It will be an exciting weekend for sports lovers in Yaounde and its environs. The second edition of the Cameroon Sports Week for Peace and Living Together (SECASPAV) rounds off tomorrow December 22, 2018. Organised by a sports association called “Cercle des Passionnés du Sport” (CSP), the event brings together sports lovers from the Centre Region.

Activities to mark the week kicked off on December 16, 2018 with an athletic walk along the streets of Yaounde. Hundreds of participants from Yaounde and the Centre Region in general took part in the sports walk that lasted two hours. This was followed by an exhibition of Karate by athletes from clubs in Yaounde on Wednesday December 19, 2018. The coach, Kom Engelbert said the Kata demonstration was to teach the public on techniques of self-defense. He said it was also an opportunity to attract the youths in the sports discipline.
