Camtel Beach Volleyball Tournament: Cameroon Wins Silver

The fourth edition of the Camtel International Beach Volleyball clash ended in Awaé, Yaounde on Sunday December 30, 2018. Organised by the Cameroon Volleyball Federation (FECAVOLLEY) in collaboration with Camtel Cameroon, the competition brought together some 200 beach volleyball players (23 men pairs) and 20 women pairs from the country. Three foreign countries, notably: Nigeria, Central African Republic and Chad took part in the competition. At the end of the event, Nigeria in the women’s category emerged winner and the Central African Republic won in the men’s category.

In the women’s fi nal the Cameroonian pair Wati and Medjom lost to Nigerian pair Tochukou and Francesca 0-2 sets (12-21, 12-21). In the men’s final the Central African Republic outplayed Nigeria 3-1 sets. In the women’s teams’ classification, the pair Tochukou and Francisca (Nigeria) finished first followed by the pair Wati and Medjom (Cameroon) and Ngo Bibinbe (Cameroon). In the men’s classification the Yagueme and Christ (Central African Republic) were the best. Godwing and Andrew (Nigeria) were second and Bassoko and Ngayana (Chad) finished on the third position.
