The new Minister Delegate at the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Relations with the Assemblies, Wakata Bolvine appointed on January 4, 2019, paid a courtesy visit to the President of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji on January 17, 2019 in Yaounde.
Minister Wakata Bolvine who replaced President of the Senate, Marcel Niat Njifenji during the January 4, 2019 cabinet reshuffle said government and the parliament are essential bodies in the legislative process. He told the press after the audience that it were important that regular consultation sessions take place between the two structures for them to reflect on ways and means of excellent collaboration. President Niat Njifenji, Minister Wakata Bolvine said, heartily welcomed him and assured of his continuous commitment to foster and preserve the already excellent relations between government and parliament.
The new Minister Delegate at the Presidency of the Republic in charge of Relations with the Assemblies, Wakata Bolvine enters the scene ahead of the March 2019 ordinary session of parliament that will besides other things be dedicated to the election of the bureaus of the Senate and National Assembly. While the current Senators of the second legislative period of the House will embark on the second year of work, Members of the National Assembly of the ninth legislative period are towards the end of their term of office.
